Welcome to the Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Stillwater, the oldest Episcopal Church in Minnesota. The first Episcopal services were held here in Stillwater as early as 1837, and the church was officially formed in 1846. Since that time the congregation has worshipped in this place, providing ministry to the St. Croix River Valley.
Today we are a vital, growing Episcopal Church community, with many active ministries and programs. We have awe-inspiring worship with excellent preaching and music. One of our primary goals is ministery to children and youth. We have an active church school on Sundays, a Wednesday evening youth group, Confirmation classes for those who will be 16 during the school year, and we have a talented and well-known youth choir.
